RPG Fudousan – Vol 6 Review

March 21, 2024 by chikorita157 Leave a Comment

At last, the final volume of RPG Fudousan is here. While Kotone and her friends face off against the Black Dragon, the future looks bleak. Thankfully, there is a way to change the past to prevent this bad timeline, but can it work?

Author: Kenmotsu Chiyo

Publisher: Manga Time KR Comics (Serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat)

Original Release Date: November 27, 2023 (Japanese)

Genre: Fantasy, Real Estate

Synopsis

With the help of the magic stones, Kotone, along with her friends, manages to defeat the Black Dragon. They see a glimpse of Lastille as she goes to pick up the fallen Satona, which looks completely different before they vanish.

The story would end here right with the bad ending. Not only the whole island is destroyed, but Selenia and Satona are now dead. Things would end here, right?

Mimo, the Angel Kotone, and her friends met when she was lost, and she is willing to help them change the past. They went along with going back in time, which gives some insights into why Satona had a big falling out with Lastille, who was part of a war. We find out how she came to change her usual Black Dragon Demi-human form to a human form to go against Lastille.

We learn a bit about Lastille’s relationship with Satona. Lastille found her in her own space, which Satona is put into. The disaster came as a result of the black monsters that came as a result of Satona being bullied. As a result, the kingdom planned to sacrifice Lastille when she turned 16 to restore the continent that had been destroyed. She is just starting to carry a baby. Of course, the big falling out might have had to do with this sacrifice. They promise to stay together forever.

Of course, Alice had to pretend to be a maid, meaning that Kotone, Fa, Rakira, and Rufuria were the ones who had to sort things out between Lastille and Satona. Yes, we find out that Lastille and Satona are more than just friends (they might be really close) because Lastille helped her give learning materials. This eventually allowed Satona to learn how to create spaces and food with her magical abilities instead of creating hostile monsters. Yep, this gives Kotone and her friends an idea to use Satona’s ability to build housing and various things with her creation magic. Of course, using Fa’s and Lastille’s magic won’t be enough

Of course, her plan worked initially, but of course, some upper-class demi-humans have disdain for Satona. Thankfully, Alice’s mother, who has Selenia, a toddler, ended those against Satona. Yes, Kotone and her friends showed a supply. Everything seems set to avoid a war and a bleak feature, but Mimo gets caught by her mother. Fa starts to disappear in front of Kotone’s eyes. Soon, Rakira and  Rufuria disappeared before Kotone. Yep, they knew by changing the past that they might disappear.

We see a glimpse of the changed future thanks to Kotone and her friends intervening. The song’s lyrics have changed, mentioning the black and white dragon. Eventually, Kotone meets up with Alice, Rakira, Rufuria and Fa. Yep, they are meeting Satona and Lastille, who are happy pairs. Yep, they have called for a new department to help with development. It’s obvious what it is.

Thoughts

Satona’s dragon human form is cute. She has a cheerful personality compared to her human form in the original timeline. Satona and Lastille of course is a given Yuri pairing.

As expected, yes, they changed the bad ending, which may seem like a cop-out, but it’s needed. No way a Manga Time Kirara story can end on a bad note. It was interesting to learn more about Satona, a black dragon confined by her ability. In reality, she is nice but doesn’t completely control her powers. It’s Lastille and the relationship that she built from helping her that changed her.

Of course, the promise of wanting to stay together makes it obvious. Yes, it’s another yuri pairing. In this timeline, Satona’s personality differs from her human form from the bad timeline in that she seems cheerful. I guess the only reason she went on a rampage is because Lastille was doing that ritual, which involves sacrificing herself or going along with it, causing Satona to want to get rid of the Demi-humans. It’s not too surprising since she was bullied by them in the past due to her abilities. Thankfully, she manages to take control of them and use her ability to do good.

While Kotone gets worked up and sees her friends disappear, it upsets her; they know this will happen since they changed the past. Also, seeing Rakira and Rufuria kiss each other before they disappear is interesting. Yep, this pairing is now canon.

Thankfully, it worked out in the end as Satona and Lastille knew to bring the girls that helped them back together. We know that Mimo’s mother has something to do with it as they mention something about the gods. Even Fa made it in the future, although Kotone and her friends do not recall what happened in the bad timeline. Of course, Satona grew up and became well endowed as her human form from the other timeline. Also, we see Selenia actually dressed as a princess, which Alice seems to like.

Overall, I’m happy with the overall ending. If you enjoyed the anime adaptation, I think it’s worth reading the manga, as the story was exciting and engaging. For the most part, it was easy to read.
