Now that Ayaka revealed that she is a Lesbian, Hiroko doesn’t know how to react. After all, she had mistaken Ayaka as a straight person for a while now. Even knowing that Ayaka loves women and has a crush on Hiroko, she lies to get Ayaka to hide the truth about her past. However, this, of course, only worsens the problem.
Last time, Hiroko saw that Ayaka and Risa were in the Lesbian bar she usually goes to and runs out. Of course, Ayaka chases after her, trying to explain that she loves women. Before Ayaka could say it, she felt nauseous from drinking that Risa had to bring her home. Hiroko sighed with relief as she didn’t have to reveal the past and wondered why she couldn’t. It has to do with her crush on her then-boss boss, Chinatsu.
The next day, Ayaka keeps trying to talk to Hiroko about that thing, and of course, she keeps avoiding it by making excuses. Eventually, Ayaka forces her to fess up as she explains why she was at the bar. It’s because Risa invited her so they could get advice. Of course, Hiroko lies and says that she is not a Lesbian despite being a regular at the bar. We know that isn’t true, but she is hiding something.
Risa listened to the whole thing and asked Marina and Kyouko, regulars at the bar and the bar owner, about Hiroko. She discovers that it’s not necessarily true, as Hiroko is living it with all the girls at the bar when she was younger.
Ayaka feels down after hearing that Hiroko is not a Lesbian. Ayaka has a hunch about something that doesn’t feel right. Why would Hiroko go to that Lesbian bar frequently if she is not one? Risa, of course, came over to her house to tell Ayaka that Hiroko was lying, but what she said was the opposite of what she found out at the bar.
Risa thinks Hiroko is hiding the fact she is a Lesbian because it would be embarrassing. Believe it or not, unlike the US, LGBT rights are a bit behind compared to the West, where it’s more accepted and same-sex marriage is legal. I can see why Hiroko doesn’t want to reveal that she loves women openly, especially given that she is in a high position. Risa, of course, shows that she likes Ayaka and won’t tell a lie. She doesn’t think Ayala liking women is embarrassing.
Ayaka, of course, reflects on the time she spent with Hiroko so far. She wonders what the honest Hiroko is. We get a flashback of how it all started. Ayaka tries to be like Hiroko bin, attempting to arrange a surprise guest. Of course, she confused the name and got the comedian instead of the fashion designer. Ayaka feels down and thinks it’s over after she messed up. We know what happened afterward, with Hiroko saving the day.
At least we see more of the moment along with Hiroko, who was at the time the exact opposite of what Ayaka is now. It makes me wonder if, when Ayaka changed, Hiroko had closed herself up. We’ll find out more next time.
