Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai – Episode 4 – Creepy Dolls and The Truth about Kaya’s mother

February 2, 2026 by chikorita157 Leave a Comment
Kaya notices a suspicious figure following a girl.

Chie seems concerned about something after hearing the scoop from Osamu. Also, there’s something Kaya doesn’t like that becomes apparent.

After meeting Osaumu at the restaurant, Chie sees why he is fascinated in Kaya. Kaya knows there is something scary inside the house. That said, she has to meet Kaya’s parents, so she gets to see for herself what it is.

Thankfully, Kaya came just in time to defeat it.
Thankfully, the girl made it back to her parents.

In the first half, Kaya and her father are walking home when they hear a missing child announcement. When they found that girl, she seemed scared and didn’t want to go home. Basically, Kaya saw something following the girl, who got cornered in a dead end, trying to escape. Thankfully, Kaya saved her by defeating the spirit. Apparently, we have some clues as to what might be the spirit. It’s the spirit of an old man near a sewer where the girl’s paper airplane hit. Makes you wonder why this spirit is following the girl.

This girl is fixated on this doll for some reason.

The second segment is just really creepy. Apparently, the owner bought a bunch of toys that were thrown out from another kindergarten closing. However, Nacchi seems fixated on a really worn-out baby doll that looks creepy. The funny thing is that after putting the doll on a shelf. What is really scary is when Nacchi starts acting like the doll, cutting her hair to look like the doll, and the teacher had to stop her.

She even pulled out a tooth, which gave the same look as the doll, which got really creepy. Thankfully, Kaya destroyed the specter in the doll, and Nacchi returned to normal, acting as if nothing had happened. She even discovers missing teeth, but thankfully, they aren’t her permanent teeth. However, we find out that Kaya really doesn’t like babies, which becomes very apparent.

Kaya really doesn’t want Chie to meet her parents.

As for the meeting, Kaya was playing jump rope when Chie came to meet with her parents. Kaya acts as if she doesn’t want to meet her parents. However, her mother opens the door, which, at least to Kaya, feels like a scary specter. However, to Chie, she seems like a normal, loving parent to Kaya, as she went over the fact that Kaya is making friends. However, Kaya looks uneasy.

We see why Chie sees Kaya’s mother as not a specter or something scary.

It becomes apparent to Chie that there is something about Kaya’s mother she hasn’t noticed. When she meets Osamu, she says everything about Kaya’s mother is entirely normal. When Kaya is not around, her mother seems completely like any normal human, but she is pregnant.

Kaya’s mother is definitely under control by a certain specter.
We see why Kaya doesn’t like babies.

After her mother gave the pen that Chie accidentally left behind, Osamu thinks that Kaya’s mother is pregnant with a specter as a baby. The specter is basically using Kaya’s mother as a host, or rather, processed by it. No wonder Kaya hates babies; as a psychic, she sees something far scarier inside her mother. Still, I wonder what will happen when Kaya’s mother gives birth. I guess a specter that Kaya has to face eventually.
